New ANT-MAN Promo/Merch Images!

A bunch of ANT-MAN promo/merchandise images have surfaced online, offering us a first look at some of the upcoming merchandise for the movie, and it actually looks pretty dang cool. Especially the "Secret Character" Funko figures.... Wasp, maybe? We'll just have to wait and see!

Hasbro Has Released Official Images of Their Marvel Legends AGE OF ULTRON & ANT-MAN Toys!

Hasbro has unveiled OFFICIAL looks at their upcoming toys for both AVENGERS: AGE OF ULTRON and ANT-MAN, and I can already hear my wallet crying out.

This Ultron figure is incredibly detailed considering it is a Hasbro release (look at the Thor figure below for comparison).

This Ant-Man figure (1st of 2 photos, the second one is towards the end of the post) is probably my favorite of the batch, just because of how the ant came out.

While I'm not a fan of this Thor figure, I am a fan of the Black Widow figure and will definitely be adding it to my collection.

Again, I'm really liking the Ant-Man figures. I'm not the biggest Ant-Man fan, but I'm still excited for the movie, and I can't wait until we finally near the release date.

 This is just cool. There's really nothing else needed to be said.

I'm so happy that Captain America is getting another costume update for AGE OF ULTRON. This costume is my favorite of his (so far), and they've actually managed to do a good job showcasing it with this figure.

New ANT-MAN Concept Art!

For about a week earlier this year, Marvel was on a roll releasing ANT-MAN stuff. We got the trailer, we got a poster we saw stills, and we even got to see some official concept art. Since then, however, it has been relatively quiet. Right now, Marvel is focusing on promoting AVENGERS: AGE OF ULTRON, which is to be expected as it releases first, so if anything, the most we'll get ANT-MAN related is a second trailer.

On the plus side, thanks to Comic Book Movie and Tony Stark Sincero, we now have what appears to be another bit of concept art to tide us over until then!

I've gotta say, I actually liked the first ANT-MAN trailer. I know this isn't a popular opinion, but I think it was just enough of a tease to get us talking. We got to see footage, which looked great, and we got to see the suit in action. What I'm hoping Marvel will give us in the second teaser is more of the above image. Showcase him shrinking a bit more. (The first trailer was released in January; they had only finished filming the movie in late December.) This concept art piece, much like the others that we've seen, have me incredibly excited for how they'll showcase this character on the big screen.

A BUNCH of New AVENGERS: AGE OF ULTRON Promotional Photos/Items!

As crazy as it seems, AVENGERS: AGE OF ULTRON is merely months away from release now, which means the marketing is now officially in full effect.We have yet to see a proper poster, and we have yet to see an official photo of Vision released from Marvel, but thanks to a bunch of promotional photos and merchandise that have found their way online, we have a better look at our heroes. (Including Vision!)

Here is a look at some of the promotional items we can expect to see soon enough:

I'm a bit bummed that Black Widow is missing from most of the merchandise again. I've gotten used to the lack of Quicksilver and Scarlet Witch, sadly, but Black Widow should be included with the guys. Then again, it looks like Hawkeye is also missing from the above merch, so I'm not entirely sure what is going on here.

Marvel Bits!

While there was a ton of big news this week with the addition of two cast members to A.K.A JESSICA JONES, the reveal of who Dottie truly is on AGENT CARTER, and the launch of Marvel Collector Corps, there were also a ton of small bits of news that made their way online.

Let's start off with JESSICA JONES, first. Yesterday, when I originally meant to publish this post, there was a new Jessica Jones audition tape I'd located online. It featured Mary Faber, who has voiced Crystal and Medusa on Hulk and the Agents of S.M.A.S.H. She has also appeared on Parks and Recreation and Nurse Jackie. The video was more than likely pulled because someone else more than likely stumbled upon the video as well. (Updated: Ah! Found the video again!) Here's what I saw in the audition video (you'll have to highlight to read the text as I don't want to spoil anyone): Harmony was mentioned, Paula (a secretary) is the role that Faber appeared to be auditioning for, they referred to Jessica as Julie and Julia (as other audition videos that had found their way online before also had), and there were mentions of Ms/Mrs. Jansen and a Gail/Gayle Harper. It's worth noting that they are using code names, so the names listed above are not necessarily the names of the characters that'll appear on the show.

Moving onto AGENTS OF S.H.I.E.L.D: We know that the eleventh episode of season two is called "Aftershocks", and that it'll more than likely deal with Skye/Daisy learning who she is now and what she's capable of - much like the recent promo has suggested. We now also know that the twelfth episode of season two is titled "Who You Really Are". (Source.) I've gotta admit, I'm incredibly excited with where the second half of season two seems to be going. I actually liked season one, and I loved the first half of season two, so even though I'll be sad to see AGENT CARTER end, I'm eagerly awaiting the return of AGENTS OF S.H.I.E.L.D. And since S.H.I.E.L.D. should be concluding its second season around the time AVENGERS: AGE OF ULTRON is released, I can't wait to see how they tie the two together.

It has been confirmed that neither AVENGERS: AGE OF ULTRON nor ANT-MAN will be getting Superbowl Commercials. (Sources: 1 & 2.)

There's a rumor that Yellowjacket isn't the only villain in ANT-MAN. You can read more about that over here. I haven't posted this article mainly because Devin of BadAssDigist (who I trust more than the source that has started this rumor) has stated that Yellowjack is the ONLY villain in ANT-MAN.

There is an awesome AVENGERS Lego Helicarrier set coming out soon, and even though it is quite expensive, it's something most fans will want to add to their collection.

While speaking to The Hollywood Reporter to promote "Throwaways", Jeremy Renner talked about how he hasn't really seen what Ultron and Vision look like.
"It will be a surprise to everybody in the movie — Ultron as well as Vision, because those characters were so much generated stuff." (Source.)

And finally, some potentially GREAT news for fans of AGENT CARTER: Michele Fazekas & Tara Butters have signed a two-year pod deal with ABC Studios. This does NOT guarantee a second season of AGENT CARTER, and it is highly unlikely we'll hear anything before May regarding its renewal, but it's a hopeful sign that ABC is proud of the show. Diamond Select Toys Unveils First Look at ANT-MAN Figures!

MTV has just unveiled an exclusive first look at the new ANT-MAN figures coming from Diamond Select Toys! Check out the photo and the description below!
